Broke Down

As the saying goes "a watched pot never boils", or a much anticipated refrigerator never arrives ( oh, you know what I'm trying to say).  NO FRIG!.....the delivery truck broke down.  

Gary waited up at the hut Friday until 1:00, when I had to call UPS and hold for 15 minutes while they tracked down the trucking company where our "lost" refrigerator was only to find out that the delivery truck broke down and was still in Miami.  Nice of them to call and let us know. It is now supposed to be FIRST thing Monday morning I think that's "in about 10 minutes" (Chinese time.)  We shall see.

The weather has not cooperated this weekend, cold front pushed through on Friday and it was NASTY yesterday, we even hiked it to KMart to get the hook up we needed for the DVD player and actually watched a movie yesterday afternoon.   Thanks to Cory & Jessica for getting us set up in DVD's, to watch.  Yesterday it was the sinking of the "Poseidon", then we have "The Perfect Storm" and "Master and Commander", they do have a sense of humor.

Last night the wave action was pretty intense.  It was either slamming the dinghy into the transom, or slamming against the side of the hull, which pretty much sounds like a log hitting the side of the boat.  I really have gotten spoiled by the nice calm nights with only the gentle rock and tiny little slaps, and am now making good use of my earplugs.  

Today we will head to shore to get more ice, and maybe check out the local art show.  Haven't checked the weather "up North", but I know you all are suffering in this seemingly never ending blast of cold and storms.  Gary's sister, Wendy, said her daughter in Wisconsin has been experiencing temps in the -20 range!!  What we remember of anything below 35 is something we don't want to think about!  

We are spoiled and plan to stay that way. :)
