We haven't heard anything from Defender or UPS about our refrigerator.  I am sure it will turn up somewhere, when is the question.  In the meantime we have lots of people who have offered frig space and help getting the new one on the boat.  I declined the space as it would be a bigger pain to dinghy to someone else's boat to get our food than it is to paw through a cooler full of ice, but we appreciated the offers.

Every morning at 9:00 am on the VHF radio channel 68 is devoted to the happenings in the harbor by the Boot Key Cruisers Net.  First they address new boats to the harbor and those leaving, then announcements of what's going on (a lot) and then on to those needing help or with problems, and finally buy sell or give away.  This morning was a real hoot.  On the announcements, a cruiser from S/V Orion asked that the couple who were having LOUD SEX between 3 and 5 this morning in the cockpit of their boat please take it inside!  Then several other people chimed in with comments, the funniest was the moderator who said," Yes we heard that , it sounded like a woman having her appendix out without anesthetic".  That is the first belly laugh we've had in a while.....great way to start the day (no pun intended).  

Today it is off for a much needed haircut and shopping for food.  We are pretty much getting bored here.  There is not much else to explore.  We rode about 11 miles the other day, to the upper end of the Key and up and down all the little streets between here and every boaters frequent stop West Marine.  It was very interesting, lots of streets of mobile homes on deep water canals.  Most have been there for a long, long time.  We are pretty much at the lower end of the Key and the upper end is the more upscale one.  Although the shopping is closest to us and the other end has to drive miles to get here, so all is good.
